Katie Wilson Kicks off Expanded Bicycle Weekends on Lake Washington Boulevard

Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson kicked off the 2026 Bicycle Weekends season on Lake Washington Boulevard in late May, with around 300 cyclists celebrating an expanded schedule. The program will now run every weekend from Memorial Day through Labor Day (except Seafair weekend), extending hours to include Friday and Sunday nights. The three-mile route stretches from Mount Baker to Seward Park and dates back to 1968.
