GMVUAC: KCCP Mid-Point Update

The Greater Maple Valley Area Council met July 6 at the Maple Valley Fire Station to discuss King County’s 2029 Comprehensive Plan midpoint update, a Subarea Plan affecting local zoning, and a proposed mine near Kanasket-Palmer State Park. The Council voted to support community efforts opposing the Segale Development Corporation’s mine and asphalt plant project, which would impact the park, water quality, and regional traffic. The next meeting is August 3.
