Seattle’s Department of Transportation is relocating two public restrooms in Pioneer Square following a property owner’s appeal. Cederstrand Rentals LLC challenged the solar-powered Throne restrooms installed at First and Charles streets, citing incompatibility with historic district rules. SDOT agreed to find new locations by early August, though a second restroom at Second and Washington may also move due to insufficient sunlight for solar power.
