SDOT Prepares to Roll Out the Route 8 Red Carpet on Denny Way

Seattle’s Department of Transportation will begin work August 1 on Denny Way bus improvements in Seattle, adding eastbound bus lanes and permanently closing a slip lane from Denny Way onto Yale Avenue to improve Route 8 reliability. The project, prioritized by Mayor Katie Wilson, is expected to wrap up by the end of August and will coincide with increased Route 8 service from every 15 minutes to every 12 minutes on weekday mornings and afternoons.
