Seattle City Council Unanimously Passes Historic Seattle Transit Measure
Seattle City Council unanimously passed the Seattle Transit Measure, which will increase the city’s transit sales tax by 0.15 percent for 10 years to fund over 100,000 hours of additional bus service. The measure goes to voters in November. While Seattle-specific, the regional transit funding could indirectly affect commuting patterns for Maple Valley residents who use King County Metro to reach Seattle.
