Vandalized Black Panther Mural at Franklin High School Gets a Glow-Up

A vandalized mural honoring the Seattle Black Panther Party at Franklin High School in South Seattle has been restored and reinstalled this month. Lauren Holloway and the Franklin High School Art of Resistance & Resilience club organized volunteers to repair the mural, originally created in 2018, and added a new mural below it featuring a quote by Black Panther Party member Ericka Huggins about community and interconnection.
