Underground Coal Mines Pose Questions

Black Diamond is hosting a free presentation called “Is There a Mine in My Backyard?” on Sunday, Nov. 1 from 1:00–2:00 p.m. at Black Diamond Museum. Bill Kombol of Palmer Coking Coal Company will discuss underground coal mines in the area, funded by 4Culture of King County. While this neighbors Maple Valley, it’s specific to Black Diamond’s mining history and geography.
