Despite Pushback, Updated RapidRide R Plans Include Scant Changes

King County Metro released updated plans this week for the RapidRide R bus line, set to replace Route 7 along Rainier Avenue South by 2032. The revised proposal adds two stop pairs in response to community concerns, though significant stop consolidation remains planned along the eight-mile route between Downtown Seattle and Rainier Beach. The King County Council is expected to vote next month on the stop locations.
