The Roundup: Route 7 or RapidRide? Zahilay Weighs In

King County Executive Girmay Zahilay discussed proposed changes to Seattle’s Route 7 bus service in a South Seattle Emerald interview. The plan would replace Route 7 with RapidRide R, consolidating about 20 stops but adding improved frequency, reliability, and infrastructure. Zahilay said the county will transfer the alignment ordinance to the King County Council for review, with community input welcome through the Transportation, Economy, and Environment Committee.
