42nd District Senate race one of the most expensive in the state

The 42nd Legislative District Senate race between Republican Erika Creydt and Democrat Michael Shepard has drawn over $1.5 million in campaign and outside spending, making it the sixth most expensive race statewide and third most expensive legislative race. As of October 22, Creydt had raised $400,000 and Shepard $315,000, with independent PACs spending heavily on ads—nearly $490,000 against Shepard and $140,000 against Creydt.
